Judith
Rand is an award winning interior designer with over 30 years experience in the
profession. Since 1975, she has guided her highly respected company to success
by providing innovative design counsel and services to a variety of residential
and commercial clients.
In addition to owning and managing Judith Rand Interiors, Judith taught interior
design for eighteen years throughout the Southern Orange County Community College
System. She served on eight community college interior design advisory boards,
and interned students from Southern California and Canada. She was appointed to
a six year term by the State of California to serve on the Chancellor of Education’s
Advisory Board representing the profession in giving direction to design curriculum
for community colleges throughout the State of California. Judith, also, served
six years reviewing interior design programs across the country for accreditation
for Fider, the accrediting body for interior design programs. She conducts workshops
and seminars throughout the State of California.
Judith is a professional member of The American Society of Interior Designers
and a past member of the International Society of Interiors Designers. She served
ISID as its international second vice president. She was responsible for developing
the society’s structure for professional development and the structure for
student membership. Judith received numerous ISID International President’s
Citations as well as local Orange County Chapter Presidential Distinguished Service
Awards. She has received an Interior Design Educators Council Merit Award for
outstanding service.
Judith brings the same commitment and enthusiasm to her community and personal
activities. She has been awarded outstanding service awards from such groups as
the Tustin Unified School District and the Boy Scouts of America. Judith was named
an Outstanding Young Woman of America and was listed I the Who’s Who of
California. She is also a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and P.E.O.
Judith has been certified by the State of California as a professional interior
designer. She holds a B.S. degree in interior design from Ohio University where
she graduated summa cum laude. She also completed studies in business at Indiana
University.
